About Less AI

Less AI is a small web tool for people who use AI to draft emails, LinkedIn posts and articles, and then want the result to read like a person wrote it. It is run by an independent developer.

What it does

You paste text. Less AI marks the sentences that carry common AI patterns, such as stock email openers, inflated wording and canned endings, and tells you why each one was flagged. Then it rewrites those parts and checks that your numbers, dates, links and names did not change. You see both versions side by side and can edit before you copy.

How it works

Two layers do the work. A set of rules runs in your browser and marks patterns instantly. An AI model, Claude from Anthropic, rewrites the flagged sentences, the paragraphs around them, or the whole text, depending on the level you pick. After the rewrite, a fact check compares what changed. The tool is free, with 500 characters per rewrite and 3 free rewrites a day per device and network. Details on what is sent where, and what we count, are in the Privacy Policy.

What it does not do

It is not an AI detector and does not promise to beat one. The AI tone score is our own rule-based estimate. It is also not a replacement for reading your own text before you send it.
